Carpenter jobs in Vermont
Carpenter constructs, maintains, and remodels buildings or related structures. Installs, fixes, or modifies all aspects of a building, including walls, ceilings, floors, and stairs, as well as related structures like railings, doors, windows, and air conditioning systems. Being a Carpenter follows blueprints and plans to ensure requirements and specifications are met. Observes all worksite safety procedures and guidelines. Additionally, Carpenter inspects buildings to determine repair that needs to be done. An apprenticeship and/or formal training may be required. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Carpenter works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Responsibilities

- Provide exceptional customer service that meets or exceeds expectations
- Communicate effectively with Area Managers and Account Managers
- Supervise daily preparation of trucks, equipment, and inventory
- Perform various landscaping tasks such as mowing, trimming, edging, and blowing
- Assist with sweeping, spring cleanup, bed edging, mulching, lawn aeration, lawn seeding, lawn renovations, plow remediation, brush hogging, spring and fall cleanups
- Perform snow removal during the winter season
Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and handle the physical demands of the job
- Valid and insurable driver’s license
- Prior experience in a leadership role
Compensation
Compensation between $17.00 - $22.00/ hour
