OOIDA is the largest membership organization in North America representing the interests of independent owner-operator truck drivers and small fleet operators. As part of our commitment to promoting safety and professionalism in the trucking industry OOIDA offers its members CMCI, a drug and alcohol testing consortium, to help them comply with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations and maintain safe working operations.

OOIDA is seeking an experienced Supervisor to oversee CMCI. The Supervisor will be responsible for leading a dynamic team of professionals who work with members to facilitate testing requirements and coordinate interactions with drug and alcohol testing facilities.  The Supervisor also directs all aspects of the consortium, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations and providing guidance and support to our members.

Responsibilities

• Manages a team of fifteen professionals.
• Oversees the submission of required filings with FMCSA and any other government agencies.
• Is responsible for the consortium meeting annual random testing required quotas.
• Maintains knowledge of drug & alcohol testing regulations associated with the trucking industry. Keeps employees abreast of those requirements to maintain consistency in departmental functions.
• Assigns duties and examines work for accuracy and conformance to policies, procedures, and Federal Regulations.
• Helps in the daily department activities when necessary, including but not limited to filling in where needed when staffing levels or office productivity levels require such action.
• Assures the highest level of customer service is consistently met to ensure the needs of both internal and external customers are promptly addressed.
• Conducts regular meetings to consult with staff regarding issues and improved efficiencies as well as to keep staff updated on any regulatory changes.
