Note: Dry WH temps range from 40-80 degrees by season, Perishable WH is 29-53 in the cooler, and -10 to 0 degrees in the freezer
Basic math and reading skills are needed in all positions
Order Selector w/ Pallet Jack (Dry or Perishable Warehouse)
This job involves a lot of moving through the warehouse with a pallet jack, and repetitive lifting for about 80% of the shift where you generally lift products that weigh 10-50lbs, and on rare occasions lift up to 100lbs. Will pick products as dictated by a pick list using a scanner which gives special instructions on what aisle to go to, which slot to select from and the # of cases or products to pick from each slot.
Stocker with Forklift (Dry or Perishable Warehouse)
Take products being delivered by the pallet load and put them into their designated locations using a stand-up forklift. Will need to be observant of order selectors who are quickly filling orders and work around them. Stockers are also responsible for replenishing the lower slots with product, making sure we are following proper rotation for food safety. May also need to pull full pallets from the higher shelves down to floor level for our pickers. The goal is for the pickers to never have to wait to pick a needed item. Products that you move will generally weigh 10-50lbs but will occasionally weigh up to 100lbs.
Warehouse Deep Cleaner
This is an important position for the warehouse team so that they can operate efficiently and safely in their fast-paced world. As a food distribution warehouse, your time will be spent deep cleaning which plays a key role in ensuring that we are food safety compliant. Essential Functions include: pulling pallets to clean and sanitize slots and racking, replace broken pallets, operate a motorized pallet jack, dusting, removing cobwebs and birds nests as needs, remove trash and debris from grounds, maintain janitors closets & equipment, proper PPE usage, proper labeling & diluting of chemicals.
