CAT Scan Technologist obtains patient history, explains standard procedures, and answers patient questions. Produces computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of specific areas as required by the departmental procedures. Being a CAT Scan Technologist performs obstetric and gynecological scans, ultrasound techniques and examinations, abdominal scans, retroperitoneal scans, and radiation therapy localization. Requires a high school diploma. Additionally, CAT Scan Technologist requires completion of radiologic technology training and American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) registration. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. CAT Scan Technologist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Anna Jaques Hospital is currently searching for a dependable, honest, and out-going individual who enjoys working with patients.
Responsibilities:
Perform high-quality CT examinations while providing exceptional patient care
Start IVs and perform contrast injections as ordered.
Understand and navigate the company's MediTech & PACS system.
Demonstrate knowledge, understanding, and confidence in CT.
Work with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure we are providing the patients with the absolute highest quality in imaging.
Qualifications:
ARRT(R) (CT)
CPR certification.
MA State Radiation Licensure
