CAT Scan Technologist jobs in Maryland
CAT Scan Technologist obtains patient history, explains standard procedures, and answers patient questions. Produces computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of specific areas as required by the departmental procedures. Being a CAT Scan Technologist performs obstetric and gynecological scans, ultrasound techniques and examinations, abdominal scans, retroperitoneal scans, and radiation therapy localization. Requires a high school diploma. Additionally, CAT Scan Technologist requires completion of radiologic technology training and American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) registration. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. CAT Scan Technologist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. JOB SUMMARY:
Performs Cat Scan procedures at a safe and experienced level without direct supervision. Provides excellent customer support by providing the best service possible. Provides assistance to the department with respect to daily operations. Performs Cat Scan procedures using prescribed techniques. Performs all job tasks with a focus on safety for the patient, co-workers, and self.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college)
- Requires knowledge of a specialized field
- 1-3 years of experience
- American Heart Association CPR Certification
- ARRT Registered
- Maryland Certified Medical Radiation Technologist. Advanced level CT Certification.
