Category Management Analyst, Sr. jobs in Missouri

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Sr. Analyst, IT Category Management for a contract placement assignment with one of our premier Insurance services clients in St. Louis, MO, or Cary, NC.

Responsibilities :

• This role is responsible for partnering with team members in support of IT category strategy development and execution for a grouping of indirect procurement IT categories.
• The Sr. Analyst, IT Category Management will gather, analyze, and research internal business inputs and external market intelligence to inform the direction from an IT category perspective.
• Will also have responsibility for partnering with team members and stakeholders to execute high-value IT category transformation initiatives in accordance with the IT Category Strategy.
• Analyzing Source to Pay analytics.
• Researching market intelligence.
• Developing category expertise.
• Synthesizing internal and external inputs into easily understood visuals.
• Triaging supplier engagement requests.
• Supporting the build-out of financial models.
• Executing assigned category transformation initiatives.

Required Skills:

• BA/BS or equivalent degree, preferably in Supply Chain operations (or equivalent work experience).
• 2-4 years of experience in procurement, supply chain & operations.
• 2-4 years of experience with the Source to Pay process.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Business Intelligence tools.
• Effective communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to gain a fact-based understanding of the supplier base and market trends.
