Central Office Equipment Technician installs, repairs and maintains office machinery and equipment. Performs preventative maintenance, replaces parts , and updates software. Being a Central Office Equipment Technician documents maintenance and service cycles of the office devices. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Central Office Equipment Technician may be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Central Office Equipment Technician may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. DEFINITION: Under general supervision, provides assistance and support for the department and maintains related data for Somerton School District No. 11.

Work is performed in an indoor environment. Work requires frequent standing, walking, and sitting. Some positions may require bending and lifting up to 40 pounds. May be exposed to dangerous machinery.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalent, and five (5) years experience working with data in a K-12 institution (preferably in Arizona). Additional certifications may also be required as specified by the District. Applicants must be able to demonstrate fluency in both English and Spanish as a condition of employment. Fingerprint Clearance Card (IVP) required at the time of hiring.
