Occupational Therapist

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist - PRN.

Occupational Therapist Qualifications:

• Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited College or University.
• Licensed and in good standing by the State of Iowa and current registration.
• Should be a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association.
• One year of experience in Long Term Care is preferred.

Occupational Therapist Job Summary:

• Perform evaluations, designs treatment plans, and administers Occupational Therapy as prescribed by a physician.
• Supervise professional and non-professional Occupational Therapy staff in delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Assign case load and other related tasks to Occupational Therapy staff consistent with their education and experience.
• Coordinate Occupational Therapy with other appropriate services for assigned residents.
• Complete required documentation for resident’s medical records.
• Schedule daily treatments.
• Participate in In-Service Education program within the Rehabilitation Department.
• Provide recommendations to Rehabilitation Nursing staff to assure carry over of Occupational Therapy program, encourage resident independence and for resident safety.
