Certified Nurse Midwife provides professional care for patients with obstetric and gynecologic needs. Assists patients in labor and delivery, as well as postpartum care. Being a Certified Nurse Midwife ensures safety and health of mother and child and identifies need for additional care. Works in conjunction with a practicing physician. Additionally, Certified Nurse Midwife requires a bachelor's degree. Requires Certified as Nurse Midwife. Requires Registered Nurse. Requires Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Certified Nurse Midwife's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Summary:Upper Great Lakes Family Health (UGLFH) is seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife to help us expand access to care at our OB/GYN practice in Hancock, Michigan. You will join a supportive team of two physicians and one certified nurse midwife at our well-established practice. Our clinics are designated Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs) that qualify for federal loan repayment program. Competitive compensation and benefits with signing bonus and/or relocation potential. Must be licensed or eligible for license in the State of Michigan. DEA required.
Practice opportunity details include:
- Candidate Type: CNM
- Rotation of Evening/Weekend Call
- Paid malpractice with 100% tail insurance covered through the Federal Torts Claims Act (FTCA)
- $2,500 CME annually
- 184 hours of Paid Time Off based on full-time employment status
- Paid Holidays

Job Qualifications:- Graduate of a school of midwifery or completion of a midwifery training program
- State of Michigan unrestricted Registered Nurse and State issued specialty CNW certification
- Registered with current DEA certificate
- One year of practice experience, preferred
- Life support training certification
