Certified Nurse Midwife provides professional care for patients with obstetric and gynecologic needs. Assists patients in labor and delivery, as well as postpartum care. Being a Certified Nurse Midwife ensures safety and health of mother and child and identifies need for additional care. Works in conjunction with a practicing physician. Additionally, Certified Nurse Midwife requires a bachelor's degree. Requires Certified as Nurse Midwife. Requires Registered Nurse. Requires Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Certified Nurse Midwife's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. We are hoping to interview experienced midwives who have worked in Labor & Delivery and/or full scope midwifery practices. Responsibilities will include providing full scope obstetrical care to high and low risk women and gynecologic care to women of all ages. Working with other midwives allows for a very reasonable call and clinic schedule. Our Certified Nurse Midwives see obstetric and gynecological patients as well as assist physicians with Cesarean sections. Because the Certified Nurse Midwives in our practice have a close working relationship with our physicians we provide midwife-style care to high risk as well as low risk women. We are interested in skilled Certified Nurse Midwives to provide high quality personalized care and hands on labor support to women in this community.
