Certified Nursing Assistant performs various direct patient care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Assists patients in dressing, undressing, bathing, eating, walking, and other activities. Being a Certified Nursing Assistant ensures patients' safety, well-being, and comfort. Collects non-invasive body fluid specimens and gathers vital signs. Additionally, Certified Nursing Assistant helps patients take medications. Aids physicians and nursing staff members with procedures if needed. Maintains documents and records related to patient care. Follows all relevant safety guidelines and regulations. Communicates with patients, their families, and other care providers. Requires a high school diploma. Requires Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Requires State License. Typically reports to a registered nurse or manager. Certified Nursing Assistant's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Providing assistance with mobility, including transferring residents to and from beds, wheelchairs, and other equipment. Assisting residents with toileting and incontinence care with dignity and respect. Monitoring and documenting residents' vital signs, intake and output, and other relevant information as directed by nursing staff. Assisting with mealtime activities, including feeding residents who require assistance and ensuring proper nutrition and hydration. Providing companionship and emotional support to residents, engaging in conversation and activities to promote socialization and well-being. Collaborating with the nursing team and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for residents. Participating in training programs and continuing education opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge as a healthcare professional.
