Duties will involve processing sodium ISO containers, unloading supplies, preparing shipments, performing maintenance tasks, and overseeing production processes through a Distributive Control System (DCS).

Prospective candidates should be prepared to fulfill a rotating shift work schedule while prioritizing safety and maintaining compliance with EHS guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate heating systems and handle ISO containers.
• Unload raw materials and supplies, conduct filter changes, sampling, equipment cleaning, product loading / unloading, equipment setup for maintenance, preventive maintenance (PM) tasks, product packaging, and provide assistance to Warehouse (WH#3) as needed.
• Take and document process and environmental readings.
• Acquire knowledge of DCS (Distributive Control System) operation and specific processes, and stay updated on changes.
• Monitor processes using the DCS and other methods, communicate any issues, and implement necessary adjustments.
• Complete other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Minimum Requirements

Education :

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Competencies :

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and basic computer skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrated critical thinking ability.
• Effective multitasking skills.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Attentive to detail.
• Capable of making sound decisions.

Benefits

Compensation :

• Candidates with limited or no experience will start at $21.50.
• Salary for candidates with direct experience as a Chemical Operator will be determined based on experience (DOE).

Salary Ranges :

• Utility Helper 1 $21.50 / hr.
• Utility Helper 2 $24.00 / hr.
• Operator $26.00 / hr.
• Operator C $28.00 - $30.00 DOE

Majority progress to Operator A within three years, starting at $36.50.

This position is eligible to participate in our Plant Incentive Bonus (PIB) at 6%. Eligibility is determined based on individual and plant performance pertaining to Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS), Quality, and Production.
