    Summary

    The Chief Administrative Officer/Chief of Staff (CoS) serves as a key advisor and partner to the President and CEO of the healthcare system. This executive role is responsible for facilitating effective decision-making processes, coordinating executive outreach, and ensuring timely communication between the President and CEO’s office and other key constituents within and outside the healthcare system. The CoS plays a key role in strategic planning, administrative oversight at a senior level for key system initiatives, project management, and operational and clinical efficiency, working across various levels of the organization to promote excellence in healthcare delivery.

    Responsibilities

    Collaborates with the CEO and other executive leaders to develop and implement strategic plans that support the health system's mission, vision, and goals. Monitors progress and adjusts objectives and tactics as necessary.Communicates on behalf of the President and CEO. Interfaces daily with the entire Executive Team, facilitating the flow of information and ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.Fosters strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including hospital staff and physicians to enhance collaboration and support for healthcare initiatives. Serves as a key liaison between the health system and external stakeholders, including government agencies, community organizations, and other healthcare entities.Provides data analysis and metrics regarding productivity and organizational performance to the President and CEO and Executive Team. Suggests strategic initiatives to improve operations, financial performance, and goal attainment.Streamlines operations and enhances organizational effectiveness by overseeing critical projects, ensuring that initiatives are executed within timelines and budgets, and aligning with the healthcare system's strategic goals.Mentors and guides staff members, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement within the healthcare system.Champions the adoption of new technologies and processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service delivery within the health system.Partners with the President and CEO to prioritize tasks to maximize limited time. Represents the President and CEO to facilitate meetings, assess projects, and reports back.Identifies challenges and barriers to organizational effectiveness, proposing innovative solutions and overseeing their implementation to enhance service delivery, patient care, and efficiency.Identifies issues, provides workable solutions, and communicates pertinent details to key stakeholders.
