Description
We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for an Admissions Representative in Edison, New Jersey. The role primarily involves acting as the main admissions counsel to prospective students, guiding them through their educational journey. You will be working in a fast-paced, service and compliance-driven environment, handling all aspects of the campus' student recruitment efforts.
Responsibilities- Respond to all inquiries from prospective students in a timely and efficient manner
- Schedule and conduct face-to-face and phone interview appointments, as well as campus tours when necessary
- Interview prospective students to understand their educational background and future goals
- Educate prospective students on the benefits of our online degree programs, flexible course offerings, and potential career outcomes
- Assist prospective students with the application process and review qualifications for admission
- Enroll new students, ensuring all prerequisites are satisfied and previous college transcripts are ordered if applicable
- Ensure prospective students’ admissions files are complete and assist students with the initial registration process
- Collaborate with other departments to finalize the enrollment process, including Student Academic Services, Student Financial Services, and the University Registrar’s Office
- Adhere to all University policies and procedures and federal, state, and accrediting agency rules with respect to recruitment
- Utilize skills such as Call Center Customer Service and Administrative Assistance in handling the responsibilities of the role.

- Experience in providing Administrative Assistance
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be detail-oriented and possess strong organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proficient in using computer software and office equipment
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle customer complaints effectively
- Must be flexible to work in shifts, if required
