Chief Diagnostic Imaging Operations Technologist directs the Diagnostic Imaging Department's operations including nuclear medicine, MRI, radiology, computer-assisted tomography and ultrasound. Supervises new testing procedures and related protocol. Being a Chief Diagnostic Imaging Operations Technologist regulates the maintenance of departmental facilities, supplies, equipment, and material in a manner to promote health, comfort, and efficiency. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Chief Diagnostic Imaging Operations Technologist typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Chief Diagnostic Imaging Operations Technologist typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. General Summary:
Under the direction of the Site Manager, provides professional nursing care within Diagnostic Imaging Services. Professional nurse practices requiring specialized knowledge, judgment and skills are performed consistent with hospital policy, procedure, philosophy and licensure. Provides care for age specific population as listed below.
Required Minimum Education and Experience:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Two years of Med/Surg or one year. Critical Care Nursing to include use of pulse oximetry and cardiac monitoring equipment, drug administration and monitoring
Basic computer skills
Current State of Delaware licensure as a registered nurse
Current certification in BLS and ACLS
Preferred Education and Experience:
Two years Critical Care Nursing preferred
PALS certification preferred
Special Knowledge, Skills and or Abilities:
Familiarity with many radiology modality technologies
Must be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English
