  • About This Role

    Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Control Management Officer as part of the Chief Operating Office Non-Ops Control Team specifically aligned to Chief Administrative Office. This is a fast-paced matrixed environment with exposure to enterprise programs and partnership with peers in all BGs/EFs with an opportunity to engage with Evidence Based Control Evaluation (EBCE), IRM partners including Risk Type Teams, Business Aligned Compliance Officer and IT&V and Audit.

    In This Role, You Will

    • Lead complex initiatives designed to mitigate current and emerging risks with broad impact
    • Act as key participant in monitoring, evaluating, and measuring the impact of decisions practiced in Control Management functional area
    • Monitor moderately complex business specific programs, and provide risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk-mitigation strategies
    • Monitor, measure, evaluate, and report on the impact of decisions and controls to the relevant business group or functional area
    • Develop and implement risk monitoring and risk reporting processes and controls
    • Collaborate with relevant business group to identify current and emerging risks associated with business activities and operations, and provide guidance in developing and implementing risk-mitigating strategies
    • Lead Control Management project or virtual teams

    Required Qualifications:

    • 5 years of Risk Management or Control Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Experience with Issues Management, design of controls and managing issues and corrective actions to include experience with Veritas
    • Experience with Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), specifically with identifying and documenting controls following enterprise standards
    • Experience working in or with Evidence Based Control Evaluation, IT&V, Risk Type Teams, and Audit
    • Ability to identify and evaluate trends, isolate root cause, and provide swift/thorough resolution
    • Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members, including senior stakeholders
    • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
    • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills

    Job Expectations:

    • Onsite presence required 3 days a week at one of the posted locations
