The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will direct and oversee all financial, accounting, and payroll functions at Bluebird, ensuring optimal efficiency and profitability. The CFO will be crucial in strategically managing the company's finances and reporting directly to the Majority Partner.

Key Accountabilities

• Financial Oversight: Ensure the optimum efficiency and effectiveness of financial statements and balance sheets and drive the organization's financial success.
• Budget Management: Prepare, implement, and supervise the budget and forecasts, aligning them with Bluebird’s strategic goals.
• Operational Efficiency: Oversee A/P, A/R, GL, reporting, month-end close, and reconciliation activities.
• Payroll and Benefits Management: Manage all aspects of employee payroll and benefits through ADP, including onboarding, 401K contributions, and PTO.
• Regulatory Compliance: Act as a liaison with regulatory agency examiners and auditors, ensuring cooperation and compliance with all reviews.
• Cash Flow and Debt Management: Manage cash flow, debts, and business loans and adhere to bank covenants.
• Policy Development: Develop and evaluate policies and procedures for finance, accounting, and payroll services.
• Asset Protection: Safeguard the assets of Bluebird Self Storage, LLC.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain effective communication and address the concerns of key stakeholders, including investors, leadership, employees, customers, and the local community.

Job Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; CPA is highly desirable.
• At least 10 years in the self-storage, property management, or supply chain industry, with a minimum of five years in a managerial role.
• Expert knowledge in finance, accounting, strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, property management, and taxes.
• Strong understanding of economic and market trends, financial markets, and banking.
• Excellent analytical, prioritization, and autonomous execution skills.
• Proficient in collaborative management, promoting effective communication and teamwork.
• Outstanding oral and written communication abilities, with a knack for clear and effective stakeholder communication.
• Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check.
