    As an Administrative Officer, you will:

    • Obtain or directly provide services that result in the maximum effectiveness of facilities, telecommunications, printing services, mail management, records management, transportation management, supplies and equipment, and safety, health and security.

    • Serve as a member of a team of administrative specialists responsible for identifying and recommending solutions or improvements to the delivery of services. Such recommendations are based on a thorough analysis of potential areas of concern or problems that have been identified and targeted for improvement.

    • Plan, budget and be responsible for administration of administrative funds assigned to the office(s), ensuring spending is contained within local sub assignments and authority.

    • Serve in an advisory capacity, in collaboration with HR specialists, to managers and staff on personnel issues such as staffing, classification, EEO, benefits, performance evaluation, and payroll.

    • Work in concert with the local or remote IT staff in the delivery of services related to information technology needs, ensuring the effectiveness of available software, hardware and related automation services to local staff(s).

    Qualifications

    You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

    Specialized Experience: For the GS-13 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:

    • Experience performing administrative activities and operational functions of a program office; AND

    • Experience observing management activities within an office to identify issues and make recommendations for improvement.

    Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week on your resume.
