Chief of Surgery directs the staff and programs of the surgical department. Works closely with hospital staff, department directors, and physicians to ensure that the highest standards of quality and service are maintained. Being a Chief of Surgery requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Requires a valid state license to practice. Additionally, Chief of Surgery require extensive clinical experience. Typically reports to top management. The Chief of Surgery manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments. Comprehensive knowledge of the overall departmental function. We are looking for a solid surgery scheduler to join our team. The primary function of this role is to schedule colonoscopies and anorectal surgery. There will be some cross training for robotic cases, but that will come once the candidate successfully shows their ability to schedule appropriately.
Outline:
- Receive orders to schedule procedures (colonoscopy and anorectal surgery),
- Schedule Instant Access (age appropriate/no issues) colonoscopies- and fill up the schedule.
- Learn the surgery schedule/block times and successfully manage it
- Benefit checks
- Securing patients are prepped for surgery
- Collecting Deposits for surgery
- Working with the Lead scheduler to learn all that you can!
