Our client, a premier manufacturer and industry leader located in the Milwaukee area is seeking a highly motivated, strategic, and results-driven Chief Operations Officer to become an integral leader to develop and execute the vision and strategy for a growing business. The COO is tasked with developing and executing the business strategy for profitability and growth and will have full P&L responsibility for this business including, Operations, Engineering, and New Product Development. The COO will collaborate across all levels of the organization to meet division objectives. This individual will have 5 divisional general managers reporting to them.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Manage all functions within the business including manufacturing operations, customer service, product development, and supply chain.
· Engage the leadership team in setting and achieving specific goals around ongoing Transformation and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
· Provides leadership for problem resolution to facilitate fast improvements and improved working relationships.
· Collaborate with peers to identify and secure new business opportunities and improve operational effectiveness.
· Establishes goals and metrics for each department and oversees each department to ensure they are operating effectively and meeting goals on time.
· Serve as business leadership for external (customer or supplier) and internal (business) issues requiring escalation, decision-making, and direction.
· Manage the business to meet customer satisfaction and on-time performance goals.
· Drives product development and innovation to meet the customer’s needs today and in the future.
· Leverage relationships and contacts in the industry to enhance sales and marketing efforts.
· Supervises the planning and implementation of production plans including sales forecasts, procurement of raw materials, and manufacturing of products.
· Drives operational excellence with complete implementation of lean manufacturing.
· Foster a culture in the organization that includes respect, trust, and collaboration.
· Drives a results-oriented mindset directed towards meeting the customer needs now and through the entire organization.

Requirements:
· BS in Engineering, Business, or related field.
· At least 5 years of management experience (with responsibility for all aspects of the operation and P&L responsibility).
· Ability to motivate, lead, and direct the efforts of employees all while contributing to the bottom line in a timely manner.
· Strong general management and demonstrated leadership skills.
· Strong business acumen with a results orientation focus.
· Excellent problem solver to maintain/increase productivity levels to agreed targets.
· Proven experience in implementing metrics across an organization.
· LEAN Manufacturing expert.
· Proven results in growing a business.
