Chief Radiologic Technologist oversees radiologic services, maintains technical aspects of radiologic safety and evaluates accuracy and quality of X-rays. Schedules work assignments and coordinates requests for radiologic services. Being a Chief Radiologic Technologist recommends new equipment, equipment modification, and crucial construction within the department. May perform duties of radiologic technologist as needed. Additionally, Chief Radiologic Technologist requires an associate degree in radiology. Requires American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) - (R). Typically requires State License based on Clinical Specialty. Typically reports to a manager or director. The Chief Radiologic Technologist manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Description:
-Candidates are responsible for obtaining radiographic images on patients as needed in an urgent care environment. Patient demographics can range from adolescent to geriatric.
-Collaborate with Medical Providers and Medical Assistants through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication.
-Perform a variety of tasks involved in operating x-ray equipment
--Explain x-ray procedures to patients.
-Demonstrate acceptable film quality standards by critiquing positioning, technical factors, and collimation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program required.
Limited Licensed Radiologic Technologist programs will not be accepted! The program through PEDRO ALLIED HEALTH will not qualify under any circumstances so please disqualify for this role if they only completed that program.
-American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification required and verified, (ASRT will not work)
-Basic Life Support (BLS) required or within 90 days of hire
-Prefer at least 1 year of clinical experience
-Past experience as a MA, patient care technician or scheduler would be a bonus
