Position Summary: Plans and provides therapeutic intervention and appropriate psychosocial/developmental care of pediatric/adolescent patients and families. Assesses patients and facilitates play interactions with regard to developmental level, interest, capabilities, special concerns, life situations, and stress vulnerability potential related to illness, injury and health care.

What qualifications you will need:

• Certification as a child life specialist through the Association of Child Life Professionals
• Basic Cardiac Life Support Provider through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• Bachelor’s Degree in Child Life, Child Development, Child Psychology, Education or Counseling
• One year related experience or Child Life Internship preferred. Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills required
