Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled Mold Setter to join our team. As a Mold Setter, you will be responsible for setting up and maintaining molds for plastics injection molding. This is a vital role in our manufacturing process, ensuring the efficient and accurate operation of our machinery.

Duties:
- Set up molds for plastics injection molding machines
- Install and remove molds from machines
-Set up and clear water lines when setting and pulling Molds.
-Ensure hydraulic and electrical connections are securely connected; I.E Chillers, Thermolators, TCUS, ect.
-Connect all knockout and ejector bars as needed.

-Clean all set up tools, equipment, and any spilled water.

-Reports damage, defects and other issues pertaining to molding to Maintenance staff.

-Assists with start up and shut down of all processing equipment.
-Ensure necessary Auxiliary Equipment is in place.
- Adjust machine settings to ensure proper mold operation
- Perform routine maintenance on molds and machines
- Troubleshoot and resolve mold and machine issues
- Operate precision measuring instruments such as micrometers to ensure accurate mold dimensions
- Assemble and disassemble mold components as needed

-Ability to read and understand standard work written in English
- Handle materials used in the molding process
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area

-Work on Assembly or other secondary procedures as needed.
-Assist Mold-maker, processor, material handler, and other floor personnel as needed.
-Ability to move heavy objects,(50lbs or more) short distances, climb ladders or steps to access equipment, access small cramped areas to work on equipment.

Experience:
- Previous experience as a Mold Setter or in a similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of plastics injection molding processes and equipment
- Familiarity with CNC machines and mechanical knowledge is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Forklift experience and Certificate is required.
