    Summary:

    McGriff Insurance Services, LLC is a national leader in the insurance consulting industry. We are looking for an entry-level Team Support/Client Service Representative for our Public Entity Insurance Pool group in our Lake Oswego, Oregon office. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree and be eager to work and possess a combination of refined writing and communication skills, business acumen, mathematic skills, and proficiency in office software.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

    Entry-Level Administrative Support Position Summary:

    Work with a team of fifteen (15), in an office of 45, to achieve efficient and effective communication, and provide outstanding client support to members and prospects of a property and casualty insurance program administered by McGriff.

    Duties Include but Are Not Limited To:

    Database Maintenance (30%)

    • Administration of a proprietary database
    • Assist in maintaining membership database, mailing lists, and other information
    • Run reports and furnish them to appropriate parties, as needed

    Document Control (30%)

    • Assist in peer review quality control process of client correspondence
    • Track agreements/contracts and follow-up as appropriate
    • Maintenance and distribution of policy information to clients
    • Assist with electronic renewals

    Team Underwriting Support (40%)

    • Assist in processing endorsements for exposure changes and coverage line changes in database
    • Assist in preparing new and renewal coverage comparison proposals
    • Assist with renewal coverage and deductible options
    • Enter underwriting information, suspense and follow-up
    • Process cancellation notices for member non-payments
    • Issue Auto ID Cards, Certificates and Evidence of Coverage documents as requested
    • File and maintain electronic records
    • Compile experience rating worksheets
    • Copying, scanning, sorting, assembling and mailing of documents as needed
    • Assist with special projects as needed
    • Other duties as assigned

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
    • Ability to take initiatives and transform ideas and projects into specific workflows
    • Demonstrated success prioritizing work and multi-task skills in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong communication skills to promptly respond to internal and external requests
    • Must pass required state insurance licensing exam within 3 months
    • Continuing education to obtain professional designations to advance career

    General Description of Available Benefits for Eligible Employees of TIH:

    All regular teammates (not temporary or contingent workers) working 20 hours or more per week are eligible for benefits, though eligibility for specific benefits may be determined by the division of TIH Insurance Holdings, LP (TIH) offering the position. All regularly scheduled teammates (not temporary or contingent workers), regardless of the number of scheduled hours, can contribute to a 401(k) savings plan and you become eligible for Company matching contributions after one year of service and attainment of age 21. Teammates also receive no less than 10 days of vacation (prorated based on date of hire and by full-time or part-time status) during their first year of employment, along with 10 sick days (also prorated), and paid holidays. Eligible employees may have the opportunity to participate in a deferred compensation plan and/or have an ownership interest in TIH in the form of profits interest or capital interest.
