Clinical Ethicist offers guidance to patients, their families, and professional staff on ethical, legal and policy issues and concerns stemming from clinical interactions between health care professionals and patients. Provides guidance to the institutional ethics committee pertaining to policy formulation and educational and case review activities. Being a Clinical Ethicist develops institutional policies concerning ethical issues such as "do-not-resuscitate" and "withdrawal of life-support". Requires a master's degree or doctorate related to health ethics. Additionally, Clinical Ethicist typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. To be a Clinical Ethicist typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. The inpatient services provided include cardiology, emergency medicine, orthopedics, and wound care. This system also provides various outpatient services including laboratory procedures, physical therapy, occupational therapy, radiology, chemotherapy, same-day surgery, cardiac and pulmonary rehab, nutritional counseling, home health, and respiratory care.
Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, the RN Specialist Clinical Informatics will lead the design, configuration, testing, and implementation of various changes in the Electronic Health Systems. The RN Specialist will oversee system support and troubleshooting, manage data collection, perform quality analysis of provided care, and communicate and collaborate with leadership regarding departmental goals and customer service.
What Makes You Awesome- Minimum 3-5 years of clinical experience required
- Registered Nurse RN or equivalent clinical experience
- Strong knowledge of electronic health information systems
