Clinical Facilities Planner offers professional services on assigned projects concerning design, construction, development, or installation of hospital buildings and facilities. Oversees construction progress, ensuring that timing, costs and contract requirements are adhered to. Being a Clinical Facilities Planner supervises construction, equipment installation, renovation and redesigning projects. Works with hospital departments to review design changes, equipment specifications/substitutions, purchasing and accounting procedures. Additionally, Clinical Facilities Planner develops and designs feasibility studies for review. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Clinical Facilities Planner contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. - Day shift: 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
The Planner position prepares complete estimates for assigned project(s) and determines project plans and specifications. This role will be responsible for taking photos and verifying that equipment information in the field is matching what is in the system.
Functional Requirements
Reviews and incorporates historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, etc. into unit and man-hour figures, Estimates worker-hours and materials required to complete the job, Reviews specifications, drawings, etc. to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate, Prepares estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work, Maintains files of working documents and back-up for estimate figures, Follows contracts as assigned - may include estimating extra work items, change orders, credits, procuring material, etc., Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction
Qualification Standards- High school or equivalent
- SAP experience needed
- Minimum four (4) years to five (5) years of field experience and/or education in construction technology
- Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Able to plan job tasks and job durations into a work schedule
- May require Turner qualifications for proprietary software
- Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace
May be required to do the following: climbing ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc. above and below ground level; maintaining balance on ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc.; reaching in all directions; handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movements of eyes, hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment; carrying objects, tools, equipment, etc.; standing / sitting; walking; pushing; pulling; bending; kneeling; crouching/squatting; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction; wearing respirator and other PPE; typing /data entry; stepstool use; work in excessive heat; work in excessive cold; work in loud environment

Work Environment Factors- Location: industrial maintenance and construction sites and/or office environment
- Mobility Barriers to Access Job Site: uneven ground level; obstructed pathways; work performed at low and/or high elevations; work performed in confined areas
- Climatic/Environmental Conditions at Job Site: predominantly outdoor climate; may be exposed to extreme hot or cold weather, excessive humidity, rain, etc.; various noise levels caused by tools, machinery, equipment, etc.; potential exposure to chemical substances
