Clinical Outcomes Analyst collects clinical outcomes data and performs analysis in support of clinical process improvement initiatives. Gathers data on performance metrics to facilitate the review of program effectiveness. Being a Clinical Outcomes Analyst evaluates and summarizes patient data to ensure that care is provided in accordance with clinical guidelines and organizational standards. Identifies areas for improvement and communicates findings to leadership. Additionally, Clinical Outcomes Analyst requires a bachelor's degree in nursing or healthcare related area. May require a Registered Nurse (RN) license. Typically reports to a manager. The Clinical Outcomes Analyst work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.   • Job Description: Job Summary: The Clinical Outcomes Nurse is assigned to facilitate and oversee compliance with clinical care measures to affect desired clinical outcomes and optimal patient experience. This nurse will work collaboratively with nursing leaders and staff and be actively engaged with the multidisciplinary team as part of the process to ensure compliance and enhance patient outcomes. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: The following is a summary of the major functions of this individual's job. The individual may perform other duties, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below, and their specific functions may change to meet the needs of the organization. 1. Assists and collaborates with clinical team to ensure compliance with clinical care measures and supporting performance improvement activities. 2. Provides education to patients and families with a focus on optimizing patient outcomes. 3. Leads by example, projecting a team centered attitude and driving effective patient focused care honoring and holding in high regard the dignity and worth of the patients and their families, their co-workers and the health system of which they are a part of. 4. Works collaboratively with unit staff, physicians, Patient Management Services and other clinical departments as indicated to enhance outcomes. 5. Demonstrates clinical proficiency and use of critical thinking skills related to providing and evaluating care delivery. 6. Demonstrates exceptional organizational and time management skills in providing support and guidance regarding patient care. 7. Collaborates with nurse manager and clinical team to ensure optimal patient experience while communicating and working together for the overall good of the team. 8. Actively participates in the process of continuous professional development, teaching and learning across the healthcare continuum. Minimum Education, Training and Experience Required: 1. 3 - 5 years relevant patient-care experience required 2. Prior experience in leadership role preferred 3. Knowledge of current healthcare trends and environment and keeps abreast of changes. 4. Active Kentucky RN license 5. BLS required 6.
