Clinical Outcomes Director directs in-depth analysis of clinical outcomes data to develop clinical process improvement initiatives. Oversees and leads staff who gather data on performance metrics and facilitates the review of clinical program effectiveness. Being a Clinical Outcomes Director creates, defines, and implements performance metrics to review program effectiveness. Evaluates patient data to ensure that care is provided in accordance with clinical guidelines and organizational standards. Additionally, Clinical Outcomes Director identifies opportunities and provides recommendations to improve program delivery, patient outcomes, and operational efficiency. Requires a bachelor's degree in nursing or healthcare related area. May require a Registered Nurse (RN) license. Typically reports to senior management. The Clinical Outcomes Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Clinical Outcomes Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Leads by example, projecting a team centered attitude and driving effective patient focused care honoring and holding in high regard the dignity and worth of the patients and their families, their co-workers and the health system of which they are a part of. 4. Works collaboratively with unit staff, physicians, Patient Management Services and other clinical departments as indicated to enhance outcomes. 5. Demonstrates clinical proficiency and use of critical thinking skills related to providing and evaluating care delivery. 6. Demonstrates exceptional organizational and time management skills in providing support and guidance regarding patient care. 7. Collaborates with nurse manager and clinical team to ensure optimal patient experience while communicating and working together for the overall good of the team. 8. Actively participates in the process of continuous professional development, teaching and learning across the healthcare continuum. Minimum Education, Training and Experience Required: 1. 3 - 5 years relevant patient-care experience required 2. Prior experience in leadership role preferred 3. Knowledge of current healthcare trends and environment and keeps abreast of changes. 4. Active Kentucky RN license 5. BLS required 6.
