CLINICAL OUTCOMES MANAGER manages the collection and analysis of clinical outcomes data to develop clinical process improvement initiatives. Oversees staff who gather data on performance metrics and facilitates the review of clinical program effectiveness. Being a CLINICAL OUTCOMES MANAGER provides advanced analyses and reports on clinical outcomes data. Evaluates and summarizes patient data to ensure that care is provided in accordance with clinical guidelines and organizational standards. Additionally, CLINICAL OUTCOMES MANAGER identifies areas for improvement and assists leaders/physicians in developing strategies to improve performance. Requires a bachelor's degree in nursing or healthcare related area. May require a Registered Nurse (RN) license. Typically reports to a director. The CLINICAL OUTCOMES MANAGER typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a CLINICAL OUTCOMES MANAGER typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Administrative responsibilities of the Nurse Manager Med/Surg include overseeing department operations for the medical surgical unit and pediatric area, scheduling, quality assurance, state and federal compliance, updating policy procedures, and managing the department budgets. Additionally, the Nurse Manager Med Surg is a mentor and resource and assists with new hire and continuous staff educational programming and cross collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure exceptional patient care is consistently delivered. Reporting to a Senior Director, the Nurse Manager Med Surg will be supported by an Assistant Nurse Manager, Educators, Charge Nurses, Registered Nurses, Technicians, and ancillary staff.
The Nurse Manager Med Surg will be a seasoned nurse, ideally holding previous inpatient leadership experience and a clinical background working in a medical surgical unit.
