Clinical Research Manager manages the clinical monitoring process and the administration of clinical trials. Supervises CRAs in in-house and on-site monitoring, filing, and clinical trial administration. Being a Clinical Research Manager oversees adherence to SOPs, Good Clinical Practice and FDA regulations. Helps with the development and implementation of clinical processes, procedures, and programs. Additionally, Clinical Research Manager may require a master's degree in nursing. May require ACRP or SOCRA Clinical Research Professional exam completion. Typically reports to a director. The Clinical Research Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Clinical Research Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Job Summary
The Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) is an advanced position that involves a balance of research participant contact, stakeholder contact, research study coordination, and management of community engagement and study data This individual must have the ability to organize complex components of various research protocols, including coordination of study required testing and procedures to further partnerships between research and community teams on current and future projects. This position requires close collaboration with the study team to ensure safe and compliant research procedures and follow-up per the established research protocol. Critical thinking, self-motivation and direction, as well as autonomy are critical to the daily tasks that are carried out in partnership with the study investigators, research-community partnerships and other members of the research team. This position will work directly with research participants, physicians, nurses, community stakeholders, and health/social service organizations and has opportunities for daily learning and contribution to research that is focused on improving community health and wellbeing of individuals.
