Cocktail Server serves cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages to customers. Has knowledge of bar supplies and common drinks and makes suggestions to customers. Being a Cocktail Server may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Cocktail Server may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Essential Job Functions:
• Greet and serve guests in a friendly courteous manner;
• Receive and understand beverage orders, relay drink orders to bartenders;
• Know what brands of liquor, beer and wine we offer as “comped” beverages;
• Carry and balance a full tray of beverages;
• Keep glasses picked up; area clear of paper and other debris as time permits;
• Circulate throughout assigned work station on a continuous basis;
• Never serve two drinks at the same time to one person; never a beer and a shot;
• Be aware of intoxicated guests; stay current on care training;
• Other reasonable duties as assigned.
