The Commercial Loan Processor calculates and processes payoffs, and releases titles and insurance interest. Processes loan payments and applies funds to customer accounts. Being a Commercial Loan Processor responds to customer inquiries and requests for net payoff quotes. Calculates and prepares refunds for customers that submit overpayments. In addition, Commercial Loan Processor may require an associate's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Being a Commercial Loan Processor gains or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Works under moderate supervision. Role:
To assist members with their loan applications; process and make loan disbursements. Ensures that the quality control standards on all loan documents meet credit union and regulatory requirements. Follows up with members and other clients as needed.

Experience: One to two years of similar or related experience. Loan processing experience with good knowledge of both mortgage and consumer loan documentation desired.
Education: A high school education or equivalent.
Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.

1. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
2. Must be able to operate general office equipment including 10-key calculator, multi-line phone, copier, and fax.
3. Must have computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and basic email functions.
