AGCO Corp has an exciting opportunity for a high-impact Buyer to join its Purchasing team in Duluth, GA. Only 30 minutes outside of Atlanta, Duluth is home to AGCO headquarters. The location allows easy access to the big city lifestyle that Atlanta provides. The headquarters have grown to now include over 500 employees. In this position, you will drive the highest level of service and quality to our dealership network.

The  Buyer assists in driving the development and implementation of AGCO’s global commodity strategies resulting in best-in-class quality, delivery, and total cost of ownership. Additionally, the Senior Buyer supports multiple strategic and global commodity managers through RFQ execution, negotiations, market analysis, strategy development, contract management as well as data gathering and analysis. 

What you will do:

• Manage NPI, New Product Introduction, activities including, but not limited to, completing ECNs, executing RFPs and quotes, meeting on time targets, and driving commodity strategies
• For select commodities, develop and execute long-term strategy deployment, supplier cost modeling, supplier opportunity assessments, supplier financial analysis, negotiations, long-term contract establishment, continuous supplier performance improvement, and supplier relationship development
• Develop a solid working knowledge of certain commodity trends including: industry trends, cost drivers, global pricing, material lead times, and technical/manufacturing processes
• Assist Purchasing and Commodity Managers in the development and execution of long-term supply strategy, landed cost modeling, supplier opportunity assessments, supplier financial analysis, make/buy analyses, negotiations and long-term contract establishment including LTA and ACRE
• Investigate and inform Commodity Managers of new and/or alternate sources of supply as necessary to support new product development, cost reduction requirements, and/or supplier performance issues

What you will bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field
• 2-7 years’ experience as a Buyer, Commodity Manager, Supply Chain Analyst, or equivalent position managing at least $10 million in annual spend in a manufacturing environment/company
• 3 years’ experience utilizing Microsoft Office at a Proficient level

A plus if you have:

• MBA, or Master’s degree in a supply chain related degree
• CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) or CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager) certification
• 1-7 years project management experience with cross functional teams
• Experience with an OEM or Tier 1 automotive supplier

Travel Requirement:

• Up to 25%
