    As a Director, Strategic Initiatives (DSI) you will connect and continuously align strategic plans with operational and strategy-enabling projects. The Director, Strategic Initiatives is responsible for making sure that all programs achieve the desired objectives and align with applicable strategic initiatives.

    • Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
    • Support Leadership in prioritizing, budgeting and gating the organization's strategic workstreams and management of the Executive Office.
    • In partnership with individual Executives and in accordance with company mission, goals and budget, help develop and implement long-term goals and objectives to achieve the successful outcome of each Executive's individual programs.
    • Guide each Executive, their leadership team and identified stakeholders as they scope, size, prioritize and gain approval for strategic projects and initiatives.
    • Plan and help direct, in accordance with established budget as well as program and project methodologies and processes, the delivery of each individual program and its project activities in accordance with the mission and the goals of the organization.
    • Communicate with stakeholders to gain support for the program and to solicit input to improve the program.
    • Liaise across Executive Team, and with other Program and Project Leaders, to ensure effective, aligned and efficient program delivery.
    • Develop and execute program/project evaluation framework to assess the strengths of each program/project and identify areas for improvement.
    • Ensure continuous improvement and process evolution in alignment with enterprise objectives, industry standards and accepted methodologies.
    • Build and implement a project/management framework for the enablement of the goals and objectives of the Strategic Plan as well as mechanisms to assess project success and capture and communicate lessons learned.
    • Lead qualified team of direct reports, including but not limited to Managers and Analysts, as well as matrixed stakeholders, as they collaborate together to deliver against Strategic Plan; support their ongoing development as Program/Project Leaders and contributors.
    • Create and codify internal communication process around Strategic Plan implementation and lead the execution of this plan.
    • Plan and facilitate strategic plan benchmark check-ins with Enterprise Leadership to support Leadership toward progress in strategic initiative goals.
    • Collaborate with Leadership during annual planning process to translate the Strategic Plan into annual goals.
    • Collaborate across programs to steward ongoing strategic partnerships with roles defined based on the specific project and capacity at that time; depending on the specific project, serve as either the lead or as part of a team to external partners throughout the engagement.
    • Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
    • Identify and resolve problems, gaps, and challenges.
    • Foster an environment of collaboration, trust, and accountability for departmental and cross-functional teams.

    WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO SPECTRUM

    Required Qualifications

    • Experience:
      • 10 years project/program and portfolio management experience. 5 years management experience
    • Education:
      • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
    • Technical Skills:
      • Effective research, writing and editing skills; ability to turn complex data and outcomes into synthesized documents attuned to varied audiences
    • Skills:
      • Demonstrated success stewarding external partnerships and building networks with colleagues
      • Proven project leader with strong collaboration instincts and a keen eye for the details; managing others to success; ability to move tasks and projects across complex departmental structures
      • Demonstrated success in roles that require the use of qualitative and quantitative analysis to better inform decisions and the flow of work
      • Entrepreneurial, resourceful and persistent; flexible and adaptive to changing priorities with a positive "can do" attitude
      • High emotional intelligence and humility; ability to recognize and respond to the needs of others appropriately and with minimal supervision; ability to give actionable feedback and manage up effectively
      • Effective interpersonal, and public speaking communication skills; confident communicator to large groups of professionals
      • Evidence of effective collaboration across a complex organization or multiple regions
    • Abilities:
      • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
      • Ability to listen, process, and reconcile needs and demands, build consensus
