    Role Overview

    Join a leading Commercial and Specialty Coatings company as the Environmental, Health and Safety Manager responsible for overseeing initiatives at multiple sites in Savannah, GA; Kinston, NC; and Spartanburg, SC. This role will be based in either SC or NC with occasional travel required. Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, and coordinate efforts to address noncompliance issues. Develop and communicate goals, establish performance metrics, and provide guidance on regulatory requirements to manufacturing facilities. Lead the implementation of health and safety management systems, monitor compliance, and prepare strategic plans aligned with company objectives. Additionally, mentor and train safety employees, and represent the company to regulatory agencies as needed.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement strategies to enhance Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) systems at the site
    • Lead the EHS function ensuring compliance with regulations, corporate policies, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
    • Monitor and oversee EHS compliance activities
    • Create and enforce incident prevention and regulatory compliance policies
    • Identify, evaluate, and control hazards within the facility
    • Collaborate with Facilities on various safety projects and initiatives
    • Investigate incidents and oversee follow-up actions to enhance safety measures
    • Conduct necessary EHS training for employees and drive safety improvements through data analysis

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field preferred
    • 7 years of experience in health and safety with CSP certification or equivalent
    • OSHA fluency required
    • Experience in Behavioral Based Safety programs preferred
    • Strong ability to develop, implement, and manage health and safety systems
    • Prior experience working with operations management and safety professionals
    • Willingness to travel up to 30% domestically
