Community Development Manager manages the economic development lending activities to support or subsidize improvements in the community. Ensures company visibility is established in the area and promotes relationships with groups, agencies, and organizations in the community to identify lending and other business development opportunities. Being a Community Development Manager evaluates the current and future credit needs of the community and develops a strong understanding of the local issues and needs. Actively monitors public programs that support community development initiatives. Additionally, Community Development Manager initiates policy changes or enhancements to ensure compliance with Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and other regulations. Makes recommendations to expand and develop lending programs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Community Development Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Community Development Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Community Development Operations Manager

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Assist the Vice President of Field Operations with the daily operations of a Community Coordination Site, ensuring that the program activities and performance meet and exceed established goals. 
    • Supervise clerical and volunteer staff as assigned.
    • Monitor employee performance, training needs, time cards and record keeping.
    • Oversee and organize office operations and procedures (e.g. typing, filing, photocopying, faxing and other clerical services).
    • Develop periodic trainings and protocols of clerical and administrative support.
    • Responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of statistical and narrative reports.
    • Assist in grant writing, development and implementation of programs.
    • Oversee the tracking and data collection of client information and assist in the preparation of reports for funding sources.
    • Manage bills to be paid, and provide follow-up to make sure all accounts are reconciled.
    • Manage inventory and purchase of office supplies and servicing of equipment and renewals of contracts.
    • Disseminate information about ABCD services throughout the community, representing the agency at meeting with other agencies, local groups, etc. as appropriate.
    • Develop relationships with other community based organizations.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned from time to time.

    Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:
    • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent with at least three to five years of experience in case management or job development and experience working with adults and youth required.
    • Some college coursework preferred.
    • Must have a broad knowledge of human services in the city, how to access them and demonstrated ability to work with clients and staff of diverse backgrounds.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to work without supervision required.
    • Bilingual skills as needed.
    • Willingness to travel and attend meetings and agency events.
    • Must be able to work sensitively and effectively with individuals of diverse educational, socio-economic and cultural backgrounds.
