Community Development Representative implements the economic development lending activities to support or subsidize improvements in the community. Establishes and maintains relationships with groups and organizations in the community to identify lending and other business development opportunities. Being a Community Development Representative develops an understanding of public programs and community needs to ensure effective community outreach and support development. Represents the institution within the community and is a resource for information about products and services that are available. Additionally, Community Development Representative adheres to all operational procedures and complies with Community Reinvestment Act and other regulations. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Community Development Representative occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Job Description :
Essential Functions :
Generate leads for prospective and existing clients.
Develop new business relationships with small, mid, and large companies, non-profit and governmental agencies that lead to revenues (at least 4 x's base salary).
Provide customer service to new and existing clients of Owens Workforce & Community Service including but not limited to :
Negotiating and maintaining client contracts, preparing and submitting sales contracts for orders, evaluating client needs, presenting to clients, responding to client inquiries.
Maintain client records including CRM.
Continue community outreach with area business and non-profit leaders
Generate ideas for new programs based on feedback from companies to be shared with programming team.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Advanced knowledge of sales and marketing, management principles and practices, general business environment training principles, occupational and professional assessment tools, and relationship building.
Skilled in oral and written communications at the executive and employee levels, as well as, computer skills.
Must have ability to design, implement and assess programs.
Must have ability to identify and implement effective problem-solving methods.
Must understand relationship management.
Must have the ability to gather and analyze statistical data and generate reports.
Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal working relationships with business and community leaders, educational personnel and our general constituents.
Must have ability to sell and meet deadlines.
Demonstrates the skills necessary to develop positive working relationships.
Shows genuine respect for everyone.
Shows a sincere interest in clients and college personnel problems and helps to find proper solutions to the problems.

Minimum Education :
Associate degree or two-year technical certificate
A valid driver's license
Minimum Experience :
Associate's degree and / or 3 years sales experience. Customer service, basic business knowledge, knowledge of economic development, knowledge of immediate area businesses.
