Community Health Director is responsible for developing plans for community-based health programs aimed at the prevention of disease and promotion of health. Recommends community health initiatives, policy implications and best practices after reviewing health literature and statistics. Being a Community Health Director identifies community health program related grant funding and develops grant proposals. Manages specific community health programs from planning and design through implementation and evaluation. Additionally, Community Health Director requires a master's degree in a related area. Typically reports to a top management. The Community Health Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, marketing, communications, or related field
Considerable knowledge of advertising, marketing, public relations publication design, layout and printing processes
Well-developed communications skills, both oral and written
Working knowledge of management principles and proven leadership skills
Well-developed public speaking skills
