Community Relations Manager manages programs supporting the corporate strategy designed to promote and represent the organization and brand as a socially responsible force in the community.     Job Summary

    The Community Relations Manager is responsible for marketing Way to Grow services to new and existing community partners, with a focus on recruitment of families with children 0-8 years of age, and a special emphasis on families who are pregnant and/or have children ages 3 to 5.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Supports community partnerships with emphasis on key partners who refer families to WTG.
    • Promote WTG programming, and recruit families to enroll through various mechanisms, including but not limited to, organizing and/or participating in community events, presentations to new and current partners about WTG and its services, hosting events, etc.
    • Maintain waiting lists and engage non-enrolled participants.
    • Support new partnerships that uniquely serve WTG families.
    • Maintain incoming referrals and provide direct referrals to clients from service providers.
    • Assists new families through the enrollment process, working closely with Program Directors to assign new families to Family Educators.
    • Maintains current knowledge regarding availability of community resources as well as new emerging resources and provides information to WTG staff and enrolled families.
    • Collaborates with the data team to ensure accurate tracking of families and streamlining of processes.
    • Provides reports as requested to measure family enrollment and document successes and challenges as well as progress toward specific goals.
    • Coordinate Way to Grow partnership meeting.
    • Completes all required paperwork in a timely fashion.
    • Maintains office coverage hours as assigned.
    • Attends all staff meetings and other meetings as required.
    • Performs other duties as required.
    • Collaborates with the team for the overall success and health of the organization to achieve the mission of Way to Grow.

    Skills & Abilities

    • Detailed oriented.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Comfortable with public speaking and initiating contact with both community partners and families.
    • Familiarity with early childhood, health issues, how health care system/service delivery systems work, and how to successfully navigate these systems.
    • Familiarity with resources and agencies in the community to support clients.
    • Ability to manage time and work flexible hours, including days, evenings, and/or weekends.
    • Dependable, ability to work independently as well as in team settings.
    • Problem-solving skills.
    • Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with databases.
    • Project management skills.
    • Cross-department teamwork.
    • Strong leadership skills.

    Education

    • Minimum - associate degree in communication or business.
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
    • Two years of experience in Communication or Business.

    Experience

    • Experience in building successful community and/or business relationships.
    • Minimum of three years of experience in managing projects.
    • Communication background a plus.
    • Willingness to initiate and connect with culturally diverse families to communicate Way to Grow services.
    • Proficiency in English (written and oral).
    • Bilingual a plus.
