Compensation and Benefits Supervisor leads a team in developing, implementing, communicating, and administering compensation and benefits programs, policies, and procedures. Supervises daily compensation and benefit operations including survey participation, job evaluation, salary structure development, base pay administration, incentive plan design and analysis, planning for health and welfare, retirement, and work life benefits. Being a Compensation and Benefits Supervisor coordinates with outsourced providers. May provide customer support to managers and staff with compensation or benefits questions. Additionally, Compensation and Benefits Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Compensation and Benefits Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Compensation and Benefits Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Position Summary
The Sr. Specialist, Benefits & Compensation provides day-to-day support to the APHL workforce at-large, including remote staff. This position coordinates the administration of People & Culture programs and functions including but not limited to: compensation, benefits administration, position descriptions, maintenance of employee data within our HRIS, and plans in accordance with policies and programs.
This is a remote-friendly position that requires the employee to reside within the Maryland, Northern Virginia, or Washington, DC area as there is required occasional in-person attendance at the office, typically up to 8 or more times per year. Some of these on-site requirements may be requested on short notice.
