Compensation Director is responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of the organization's compensation programs, including base pay, incentive pay, and performance management programs. Leads the compensation function and works with senior management to ensure that compensation strategy and programs support the organization's business objectives, meet all legal requirements, and deliver value and equitable pay. Being a Compensation Director develops compensation budget for assigned areas and manages budget after it is approved. Establishes data collection and analysis processes for market, pay equity, and other compensation studies. Additionally, Compensation Director may be responsible for entire organization or for one or more major segments of a larger organization. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Compensation Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Compensation Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     Mountain View Hospital is looking for a Case Manager to join our team!

    JOB SUMMARY:

    This position provides support for the entire Occupational Health continuum and requires a passionate commitment of core values and behaviors. Responsibilities- Coordinates and assists with new client set up. Functions as a Case Manager for Occupational Health.  The following description of job responsibilities and standards are intended to reflect the major duties of the job, but are not intended to describe minor or other responsibilities as may be assigned form time to time.  This job description cannot anticipate all physical and mental requirements that may come up in the daily assignment of the job.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Identifies and monitors client employees who have received work injuries.
    2. Facilitates flow of information regarding patient’s course among care providers, company, and surety.
    3. Supplies physicians with modified duty list and follows up with companies for compliance with those modifications and restrictions.
    4. Pre-certifies visits with specialists, diagnostic testing, physical therapy and assists in scheduling those appointments.
    5. Monitors rotation of Work Comp referrals from Clinics
    6. Scans/Copies and uploads documents into appropriate software.
    7. Collects Drug Screen/Breath Alcohol and Physical results and communicates appropriately to DER and company.
    8. Maintains client contact list. And updates client folders as needed.
    9. Creates and distributes Client posters and cards.
    10. Monitors supply inventory and orders supplies appropriately.
    11. Obtains certification as a Certified Workers Compensation Specialist through the state of Idaho.
    12. Adheres to the Hospital policies and demonstrates safe practices.  Demonstrates competence in the Environment of Care to provide functional and safe surroundings for patients and staff (i.e. safety, security, infection control, etc.) Able to locate applicable hospital and department specific manuals.
    13. Acts like an owner; pulls own weight; works to achieve individual, departments, and hospital goals; fully accountable; owns problem until solved; appropriately holds others accountable.
    14. Must be open, honest, and appropriate in all communication; manages conflict appropriately-takes issues to appropriate personnel and does not discuss along the way.  Follows through on all commitments; speaks up, shares ideas and concerns.  Supports decisions once made.
    15. Demonstrates positive attitude; makes, and cheerfully spends time to consistently exceed patient/physician expectations; shows humility for role played in lives of others; respects coworkers and appreciates similarities and differences of each coworker; demonstrates true caring.

    18. Organizes and completes work in a timely and professional manner.  Demonstrates compliance to all Hospital policies, procedures and guidelines.
    19. Must be flexible and able to handle a stressful environment (at times) with high demand on time and communicate skills.
    20. Must present professional image and follow hospital dress code.
    21. Must maintain hospital mandatory education and training.
    22. Performs other duties and deemed necessary.

    Qualifications


    Education/Certification:  Must be a high school graduate or an accredited secondary educational system.  Must have a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite products (Word, Excel, & Outlook).  Knowledge of basic Workers Compensation and medical terminology is essential. Some college or Certified Workers Compensation Specialist certification preferred.

    Experience:  Knowledge of Workers Compensation Statues/Laws of Idaho and Medical Terminology.  Minimum of one year experience in customer service.

    Equipment/Technology:  Must be familiar with computerized information systems and office equipment such as fax, copier, and scanning devices.

    Language/Communication:  Must have the sensitivity, maturity, and ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.

    Mental Capabilities:  requires assessment and planning, calculation, analyzing, sorting, comparing, ability to prioritize, listening, decision making and reading comprehension.

    Performance:   Job tasks should be completed in a timely manner, and all deadlines met appropriately.  Anticipates/prepares for forthcoming problems and projects.  Failure to ensure this could have adverse consequences on the operations of the Occupational Health Department.
