Competitive Pricing Manager assists with the pricing analysis of revenue, market share, capacity, and competitor activity to provide pricing for products, geographies, and market segments aligned with products and sales strategy. Conducts market research and intelligence gathering and recommends pricing targets. Being a Competitive Pricing Manager maintains competitive pricing databases to monitor changes in the marketplace and their impact on new and existing products. Performs analyses to test customer price sensitivity and elasticity. Additionally, Competitive Pricing Manager typically requires a bachelor's degree in business or related discipline. Typically reports to a manager. The Competitive Pricing Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Competitive Pricing Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Job Summary
Key Responsibilities:- Responsible for all pricing compilations based on the facility solution developed during the bidding process for internal and client purposes
- Provides pricing summaries to be included in proposal document
- Audits/verifies pricing for complete accuracy and consistency within proposal document
- Assist / review of RFx information, proposals, presentations to ensure alignment with pricing/costing
- Fully understands and able to articulate pricing / costing to all stakeholders
- Gathers and analyzes labor rates, benefits, other direct costs, materials, and subcontracts
- Assists in performing detailed financial analysis to quantify cost saving
- Assists in the development of customer baselines and financial bridge analysis
- May perform onsite data collection at customer facilities
- Responsible for the internal Excel pricing model maintenance and enhancements (highly advanced excel experience required)
- Collaborates with company functions on various benchmark initiatives.
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 3 years of applicable / related experience
- Highly Advanced, innovative, and comprehensive skills in use of Excel
- Comprehensive skills in all other Microsoft applications
- Possess strong time management and prioritization skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good judgment in decision-making
