LHH Recruitment Solutions seeks a full-time CNC Programmer to work onsite in Troutdale, OR. The CNC Programmer offers programming expertise to assist the machine shop in producing products that align with the specifications of both internal and external clients. Moreover, they are responsible for crafting, updating, and refining machining programs, as well as exploring new applications through suitable programming approaches. Addressing concerns related to machining methods and fulfilling customer specifications are also part of their duties.

Responsibilities:

• Ensures adherence to standard machining practices by confirming appropriate tools and tool paths.
• Prepares comprehensive setup sheets for the machine shop, ensuring machinists understand the tools, tool paths, and programming methods to be employed.
• Demonstrates proficiency in program retrieval and download procedures specific to machine tooling posts.
• Offers technical assistance to the machine shop, utilizing simulation software to address inquiries or comments on specific programs.
• Available for on-call support during off shifts for product runs when necessary.
• Operates within established guidelines set by the Master Planner and Programing/Production Manager.
• Provides clear instructions for the machine shop, encompassing zero and reference points, tool offsets, tool compensation, conditional switches, manufacturing sketches/drawings, calculation requirements (including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry), and part program instructions.
• Plans machining operations by reviewing work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, surface locations, and machining parameters; interprets geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
• Validates settings through position measurements, initial part runs, and sample workpieces, adhering to international standards.
• Ensures compliance with specifications by monitoring drilling, grooving, and cutting cycles, encompassing turning, facing, knurling, and thread chasing operations; takes measurements; identifies malfunctions; troubleshoots processes; adjusts and updates programs; adheres to quality assurance procedures and protocols.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience with Mastercam
• Minimum of 3 years' experience with SOLIDWORKS
• A degree in machining technology or equivalent years of experience in machining/programming.

Shift:

• Day shift starting between 6am and 8am

Compensation/Benefits: $30-45/hr
