General Contractor Project Assistant
CoBeck is looking for an experienced, proactive project assistant to work collaboratively with our team on construction projects. In this role, you will oversee tasks delegated to you by the project manager, coordinate with all necessary vendors and subcontractors, and ensure the project is moving forward. You will need to be highly organized, adaptable, and able to prioritize tasks while working independently.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with the project manager and team to maximize productivity.
- Collaborate with the entire project team, contributing to the complete project lifecycle.
- Organize and monitor information into standard formats and reports in various systems, including an ERP system called CMiC.
- Coordinate efforts within the team, with outside subcontractors and owners efficiently.
- Coordinate electronic submission of project documentation.
- Prepare routine correspondence such as letters, memos, meeting notes and proposals.
- Complete any necessary administrative tasks, such as research and email.
- Demonstrate commitment to clients’ needs with confidentiality.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Preferred experience in project assistant role or relevant work experience in the commercial construction industry.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Keen attention to detail and an aptitude for problem-solving.
- Able to proactively address potential issues.
- Excellent computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proficiency in project management software, such as Procore or CMiC is preferred.
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, internally and externally with a team-player attitude.
- Positive and encouraging personality.
- Outstanding organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Reliable transportation to run job related errands.
Education/Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- 2 years administrative support (Preferred)
- Construction general knowledge (Preferred)
Physical Requirements
- This job operates in a professional office environment.
- This role regularly uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, filing cabinets, photocopiers, and fax machines.
- This position requires the ability to lift files and open file cabinets.
- Employees are frequently required to sit, stand, and occasionally required to bend, kneel, reach, stoop, or crouch.
- This position may occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.
Job Details
Full-time position Monday to Friday 8AM to 5PM or 7AM to 4PM
