OVERALL JOB PURPOSE
The Consumer Loan Processing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the operations of the Consumer Loan Processing department. They are tasked with ensuring efficient and accurate processing of loan applications, adherence to regulatory guidelines, and maintaining high levels of customer service. The manager will lead a team of loan processors, set performance targets, and collaborate with other departments to optimize loan processing workflows.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises and provides leadership to a team of loan processors, including interviewing, training, coaching, and performance management.
Ensures performance goals and targets for the department are achieved.
Monitors individual and team performance to ensure timely and accurate loan processing.
Develops and implements standardized loan processing procedures and workflows to ensure efficient and consistent processing.
Receives and reviews consumer loan applications, ensuring all required documentation is complete, accurate and in compliance with established policies and procedures.
Prepares loan documents in accordance with the loan approval, regulatory compliance requirements and consumer elected products such as GAP, debt protection, and MRC.
Sends the loan documents to the member for signature via DocuSign using the appropriate member verification procedures.
Funds the loan and disburses the proceeds in accordance with the loan instructions utilizing available automation or manual processes.
Regularly reviews Synergy to ensure all loan tracking checklists are complete for the loans funded by the department.
Prepares loan documents for in branch closings and ensures the documents are in compliance with all regulations and consumer elected products such as GAP, debt protection and MRC.
Communicates with loan officers, underwriters, and borrowers to gather missing information, resolve discrepancies, and provide updates on loan application status.
Responds promptly and professionally to borrower inquiries, providing exceptional customer service throughout the loan process.
Ensures clear and effective communication channels are maintained with internal and external stakeholders.
Identifies and reports any suspicious activities, potential fraud, or compliance violations to the appropriate channels.
Coordinates with Lending Center Consultant to follow up on member’s who have not completed their DocuSign envelope.
Ensures Loan Servicing Manager is kept fully informed of department activities and of any significant problems or concerns.
Processes credit cards in accordance with policy and procedures.

General knowledge of credit union lending is desirable.
Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED required.
Two year Business or related degree preferred or three to five years credit union experience with progressive responsibilities in new account and/or loan operations.
General knowledge of credit union operations may be desirable.
