Contracts Administration Director is responsible for all activities in the organization's contracts administration function. Oversees the preparation of proposals, negotiations, and the administration of contracts that follow company policies and legal requirements. Being a Contracts Administration Director directs and develops policies and processes that govern the contract administration staff and provide guidance on contract terms and the assessment of contract proposals. Has deep knowledge of the contract life cycle, types of contracts, and applicable government regulations. Additionally, Contracts Administration Director leads negotiations for complex or high-value contracts. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Sometimes requires certification like the NCMA Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM). Typically reports to senior management. The Contracts Administration Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Contracts Administration Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Position Summary:
    Responsible for securing, managing, and distributing private support to the University of Idaho, its colleges, and programs. This position is responsible for: assisting in the management of financial and non-financial aspects of a portfolio of endowments and gift administration, development of policies and procedures, compliance and reporting requirements.The position assists with the management of estate gifts, bequests, and gift accounting and business operations, as well as the determination of grants and gift proposals to the University of Idaho.Effectively work with Advancement personnel, fiscal officers, and other University partners to ensure the appropriate stewardship of the Foundation's assets and the donors who provide gifts in support of the University.Responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures consistent with the appropriate stewardship of Foundation assets in coordination with leadership. This position works collaboratively with other Foundation and University staff to achieve the organization's goals and objectives and to provide an effortless and seamless donor experience.Assists with ensuring the integrity of the Foundation's data and records systems, automation, and streamlining business processes in coordination with technical staff and others in gift administration and finance.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    • Bachelors degree from an accredited university or three years or more of experience in higher education, or, progressively responsible experience in a relevant position.




    • Analyzing information from a variety of sources, identifying problems, defining alternatives, and developing recommendations.
    • Researching and compiling information and preparing summaries and reports.
    • Editing and writing business correspondence using proper grammar and punctuation as demonstrated in application materials.
    • Interpreting and evaluating policy and procedural requirements.
    • Serving as a liaison between internal and external entities and individuals in the coordination of activities and resolution of issues.







    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Working at a university or foundation.
    • Experience using a Constituent Relations Management (CRM) relational database or other integrated computer systems.
    • Strong knowledge of endowments, grant and gift proposals, estate gifts, data processing applications, endowment and estate gift administration desired.
    • Experience with Banner.
