Contracts Administration Director jobs in South Dakota

Contracts Administration Director is responsible for all activities in the organization's contracts administration function. Oversees the preparation of proposals, negotiations, and the administration of contracts that follow company policies and legal requirements. Being a Contracts Administration Director directs and develops policies and processes that govern the contract administration staff and provide guidance on contract terms and the assessment of contract proposals. Has deep knowledge of the contract life cycle, types of contracts, and applicable government regulations. Additionally, Contracts Administration Director leads negotiations for complex or high-value contracts. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Sometimes requires certification like the NCMA Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM). Typically reports to senior management. The Contracts Administration Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Contracts Administration Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.   • Spherion Staffing is hiring a Director of Administration for a native-led nonprofit. This opportunity is a new position due to organizational growth. The Director of Administration will build management and administrative competencies to support expanded program and fundraising capacity across the organization and assist in carrying out the goals of our strategic plan.

    They will ensure efficient workflow within departments, manage HR functions, such as hiring and training new employees, and act as a liaison between employees and upper management when it comes to financial and administrative issues.

    In addition, they will be responsible for delegating tasks to team members, evaluating their performance, and ensuring they have adequate resources and supplies to perform their duties well. You will also liaise and negotiate with vendors and partners and implement and improve the organization's policies and procedures.

    Salary $75-85K/year DOE 8 paid holidays, plus 15 days off per year that can be carried over for a maximum of 30 days from year to year

    Responsibilities

    • Supervise administrative functions and operations within the organization's department
    • Coordinate administrative activities between departments to ensure efficient workflow
    • Manage the organization's HR functions, such as hiring new employees, developing

    training programs, and administering benefits programs

    • Develop Operations Budget annually
    • Manage billing and reporting to federal contracts and grants
    • Supervise administrative staff and evaluate their performance
    • Negotiate contract terms and agreements with vendors and partners
    • Recruit and train personnel and allocate responsibilities and office space
    • Act as a liaison between employees and upper management
    • Assess staff performance and provide coaching and guidance to ensure maximum efficiency
    • Monitor inventory of office supplies and the purchasing of new material with attention to budgetary constraints
    • Oversee facilities services, maintenance activities and tradespersons (e.g electricians, cleaning assistance, internet service)
    • Organize and supervise other office activities (recycling, renovations, event planning etc.)

    • Bachelor's degree in facility management, human resources, or a related field
    • A Master's degree is an advantage
    • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in administration
    • Experience with hiring, training, and supervising employees

    • Exceptional leadership and motivation
    • Effective problem-solving in multicultural situations
    • Great organizational skills
