Develops technical designs, process diagrams, SCADA block diagrams, and control schematics to implement automation controls. Being a Control & Instrument Engineer configures systems using PLC and HMI techniques. Models, tests, and measures output and data to analyze performance or quality issues and develop solutions. Additionally, Control & Instrument Engineer requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Typically reports to a manager. The Control & Instrument Engineer work is closely managed. Responsibilities - Field Service Engineer- Actively diagnose, repair, and test complex machines and instrumentation
- Commission intricate motion systems and ensure equipment integrity
- Repair or adjust equipment, machines, or defective components, and replace worn parts
- Install repaired equipment and replace parts at customer sites including industrial and military facilities
- 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with repairing, diagnosing, and building robotic systems and machines; familiarity with troubleshooting motors, motion control devices, and amplifiers
- Bachelors’ degree – engineering preferred (comparable experience will be considered in lieu of an engineering degree)
- Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills
- Experience with a variety of testing and measurement instruments
- Familiarity with motion control devices, motors, and amplifiers
- Experience with Delta Tau and/or Parker servo motors is a plus
- 50% travel - nationally and internationally
