Being a Control & Instrument Engineer configures systems using PLC and HMI techniques. Models, tests, and measures output and data to analyze performance or quality issues and develop solutions. Additionally, Control & Instrument Engineer requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Typically reports to a manager. The Control & Instrument Engineer work is closely managed. Instrument Control Panel Technician

  • Hunt Electric, Inc. and ICC of Salt Lake City, UT is searching for full-time Panel Technician to join our team within the Instrument Control Division.

     

    This position requires self-motivation and self-management of work with strong interpersonal skills to meet with users in a face-to-face environment.

     

    This person will report directly to the Division Manager and assist in the production of Instrument Control Panels.

     

    This full-time Panel Technician position receives a competitive wage commensurate with experience and position responsibilities.     Major Duties:

    You will be building substation control panels. Pulling parts, cutting wires and attaching to various components by following prints and attaching components with basic hand tools. Testing wiring with meter for accuracy. Attention to detail and following step by step instructions will lead you to a successful panel build out.

     

    Minimum Qualifications:


    • Strong reading comprehension, attention to detail and organized.
    • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
    • Ability to lift 50lbs to 100lbs.
    • Possess knowledge of basic hand tools and ability to use and care for them.
    • Ability to be punctual and dependable.
    • Must be willing to work overtime and/or weekends when needed.
    • Ability to meet deadlines.
    • High School Diploma or equivalent 
    • Ability to route wires neatly
    • Other duties as assigned.
    • Maintain professional appearance:
      • Work pants worn in a conventional manner with no tears.
      • Work boots.


    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Ability to understand wiring diagrams and schematics.
    • Knowledge of wire types and sizes.
    • Knowledge of National Electric Code (NEC).
    • Knowledge of electrical fundamentals.

    This is a full-time position with a typical working schedule of Monday - Thursday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm, Friday, 7:00 am – 2:00 pm.
