Controller needed for well-known Arkansas based Non-Profit. This is a wonderful opportunity to continue to grow in your career. This is a Hands-On position and candidates with background in Public Audit of non-profit organizations or currently in a similar position within a non-profit will be given priority.
The Controller will assist the CFO with the financial affairs of the organization and with preparation of monthly financial statements and analysis for management. Primarily responsible for the monthly closing process, including account reconciliations and analysis. Also involved in year-end audit process assisting outside CPAs by responding to requests for information.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs monthly balance sheet account analysis, assists with or performs budget vs. actual analysis on a monthly basis, prepares various cash and balance sheet account reconciliations and books necessary journal entries on a monthly basis. Also prepares special reports as requested. The position should also be able to maintain appropriate accounting controls and identify opportunities for improvement in controls and efficiency of operations.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
4-year Accounting Degree from accredited college.
Prefer CPA or in process
4-6 years of experience in similar Accounting role or 4 years of Public Audit experience
